Summary - Orientation on the Infection Prevention guideline in oral care practices
This chapter explains the basis of the measures described in the Infection Prevention Directive in oral care practices. The history of the directive is also briefly discussed. Attention is also paid to the design, layout and overall content thereof, after which some topics and accompanying measures are elaborated with references to the relevant paragraphs. On the basis of logic and simplicity theoretical lines of thought are set out. These are supplemented with words and images by the logically resulting measures. The clear schematic thinking from the basic objective of good infection prevention, namely guaranteeing safety for patients, team members and third parties, makes this chapter a point of reference for dental assistants to come to correct action and to persevere with a routine.
