If all your teeth are crooked and your teeth are reasonably intact, then orthodontics is the solution for you. Many people mistakenly think that braces are something for teenagers. This is not the case, orthodontic treatment can be started at any age. The only difference with starting during puberty is that you no longer grow. It is therefore no longer possible to use jaw growth to change the position of the jaws or to guide growth. For the type of brace that you are going to wear, a choice will be made between removable or fixed, or even the new option of orthodontic treatment using transparent plastic molds. This choice depends on the position of your teeth.
Even the common "crooked lower front", which often occurs later in life, can be treated orthodontically. Clients often prefer a removable bracket because it can be removed occasionally. Keep in mind, however, that a removable bracket is only possible in very few cases, and that it must still be worn 24 hours a day. Wearing a fixed bracket is certainly difficult in the beginning, the locks and wires can hurt your cheeks and lips. Talking is more difficult. These are all complaints that disappear quickly. Keeping your teeth clean is a lot harder if you wear braces.
