Thanks to Hollywood, we are used to seeing bright white teeth on television. Unfortunately this is of course very fake, because nobody walks around naturally with such radiant white pearls. Do you want whiter teeth but don't want to pay money for a treatment or do you just want to subtly make them whiter? Then try one of the following techniques.
Whitish teeth are within reach.
9. Coconut oil
By rinsing your mouth with coconut oil you remove bacteria from your gums and remove your yellow scale on your teeth. However, this method is time-consuming, but coconut oil has many health benefits. Take a teaspoon of coconut oil and let it melt in your mouth. Gently rinse it through your mouth for 15 minutes. The coconut oil pulls bacteria out of your gums, preventing inflammation throughout your body. The side effect of this method, called oil pulling, is white teeth.
Cheese does not necessarily whiten your teeth, but it is very good for the health of your teeth. The fat content in cheese reduces the bacteria on your teeth, which reduces tooth erosion. The phosphorus and calcium in cheese also keep your teeth and enamel strong.
7. Baking Soda
Baking soda is a household remedy that you can use to bleach your teeth. The small grains sand your teeth. So be careful and do not use this method too often, because it can damage your enamel. Sprinkle a little baking soda on your toothpaste and gently brush your teeth with it.
Another great natural bleaching agent: turmeric. Turmeric is a yellow spice that has an anti-inflammatory effect. In addition, the yellow powder will bleach your teeth! Mix a quarter teaspoon of turmeric with half a teaspoon of coconut oil. You can drip some peppermint oil through it for a nice taste. Brush to bleach your teeth.
Clove also has an anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effect. You can chew a clove flower, but this is very strong. There is also clove oil, which you can put on your toothbrush for brushing. Clove also gives you a nice fresh breath due to both the taste and the fact that it kills bacteria.
The inner flesh of a strawberry has a bleaching effect on your teeth. You can apply this method in two ways: you can puree a strawberry and spread it on your teeth, but it is much simpler to cut the strawberry (or take a bite) and rub it on your teeth with the inner flesh. Tasty and healthy, because you can just eat the strawberry.
3. Apple cider vinegar
Apple cider vinegar works great against yellow deposits on your teeth, such as coffee, tea and nicotine. Take a spoonful of apple cider vinegar and rinse with it for a minute. Then rinse well with water and brush your teeth.
2. Orange peel
Just like strawberries, oranges also contain acids that whiten your teeth. That is why alternative medicine often recommends rubbing an orange peel over your teeth if you want white teeth. Peel an orange and rub your yellow teeth with the inside of the skin. Wait a few minutes and then brush your teeth.
1. Lemon juice with baking soda
Put a teaspoon of baking soda in a small bowl and drizzle lemon juice over it. The acid in combination with the sodium carbonate in the baking soda will immediately fizz. Spread this mixture on your teeth and let it soak in for a few minutes. Rinse and brush your teeth as usual. This combination has a very powerful effect, so that after a few treatments you already have white teeth.
Be careful, acids from fruit and vinegar can damage your tooth enamel. Therefore do not use these methods too often.
